Mr. Daniel Meléndez-Barreiro specializes in civil litigation, transactional and corporate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Meléndez-Barreiro served as a Compliance and Data Privacy Officer for a publicly traded fintech corporation, where he advised internal and external clients in Latin America and the Caribbean on issues related to data privacy and HIPAA Law. He also represented the company in drafting contracts with customers and suppliers, and was responsible for creating and implementing the company's first global records retention policy and operating procedures.
During his academic years, Mr. Meléndez-Barreiro served as a law clerk to the Hon. Bryan K. Tester, Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and participated in various pro bono activities.
